OUR EMBLEM IS THE BIPLANE THAT REPRESENTS AMY JOHNSON'S ACHIEVEMENTS

Amy Johnson was born in 1903 in Hull. Unusual for her time, she achieved a B.A. degree from Sheffield University

in her early adult life. Amy Johnson was the first female pilot to fly alone from Briton to Australia,

which she achieved at the age of 26.Her flying career began in 1928.

                                                        

The aeroplane, which Amy used on her solo flight, was called Jason a De Havilland Gipsy Moth: you can see this

aeroplane at the Science Museum it is in the Flight Gallery.

Other personal Items of Amy Johnson's can be seen in the Museum at Sewerby Hall Yorkshire.

This collection contains over 130 objects and was donated by the Johnson family in 1958.

                                                                                                                               

We hold rally’s every weekend, from February to December, and every one would be made welcome.                                     Our Rally’s are mostly on the beautiful East Coast.

There is lot’s off places to visit like Sewerby Hall, Fort Paul, Edam Camp, and Flamborough R.S.P.B.

Also some lovely walks for the energetic.
