Located in Stamford Bridge, a village rich in history and scene of The Battle of Stamford Bridge which marked the end of the Viking era in Britain, Weir Holiday Park as its name suggests sits beside the beautiful weir.
The village itself is divided in two by the River Derwent; The Holiday Park is within the river, on an island accessed only by a bridge. The stunning surroundings provide a haven for wildlife, and visitors alike.
Owned by the Hind family, Weir Holiday Park has been awarded a David Bellamy Award .We have also recently obtained a 5 in 5 Award for our Hedgerows which are now recognised as being wildlife friendly.
Please be aware that this site is liable to flooding, you must be ready to move at short notice. You do get 1 hour notice of potential flooding.

On the A166 from York to Brid. The Weir is found by taking the left turn before crossing the Bridge. The park is 100yards on the right, over a private bridge. Reception on your right, but pass and enter by 2nd gate way. Follow ERBCC signs.
When you see this it means you will have to call the number provided to book a pitch. You can't just turn up on site.
The exception is our Annual Dinner Dance where you can camp unbooked if you don't wish to attend the Dinner Dance main event.
